Had the pleasure of collaborating on this banner with Cape Chicago teaching artist Shenequa and Ms. Limon! We came together to say, "All will be well" for the kids during our class. We've gifted the banner to Cape Chicago for them and future students to see. Many thanks to both them and Acre residency for bringing us together as teachers.
We made it an intention to check in with the students each class, reflecting on what's keeping us afloat through this pandemic. I absolutely loved teaching the latch hook process, seeing just how invested my co-teachers were, their innovative approaches to the material, and shoutout to Shenequa for putting it together in the end. Such a wonderful experience!
