I'm the featured artist over at So Happy You're Here! They're an upcycle and resale shop in Chicago going on their third year if you aren't familiar! I have a pop up of handmade goods there for May + June

Terrain Exhibitions

After spending my time seeking the fantastical and daydreaming, it was exciting to have the term magical realism handed to me as I've spent over the past year creating portals. I saw this public art installation as an opportunity to add a window where there otherwise wouldn’t be, creating a threshold to gaze through. While you can peer through it, the image is obscured, and the frame warped. I enjoy playing with space, time, and a sense of what could be, where or when are you going, or are you coming? Raindrops turn to tear drops.

Leading up to making this, I was thinking of the good season of art I've had this year, and how exhausting that is?? I'm so lucky (and I work hard) to have these opportunities, but unsurprisingly, I'm tired. I felt like I was looking the fatigue in the face as I kept calling the "rain drops" "tear drops" and that stuck haha My window is weeping lol I'm sure some of my relationship with public art weighed in on all of that
